Fresh from winning the defender of the 2023/24 season accolade, Ronald Otti has been unveiled by Kitara FC as their new player.
The towering player was on Saturday named the best defender of the recently concluded season following his remarkable performance at BUL FC.
“Kitara football club has captured the signature of Ronald Otti. He was officially unveiled by the club president Deo Kasozi on Monday morning in Kampala.” The club revealed.
Otti formed a formidable partnership with Walter Ochora and that explaina why BUL FC kept the most clean sheets in the season (12). He joins the Royals on a year-long contract.
Otti had interest of several clubs including URA FC who he ditched at the last minute even after agreeing to their terms.
In his remarks, Otti believes he made a right choice and hopefully of having a fruitful stay with Kitara FC.
” I believe this is the right choice and place for me to be, Kitara is an exciting club. I hope my experience can add something or improve my new team. And, I want to pledge my hard work and commitment to them.”
He is expected to bolster the backline that already has Benjamin Nyakoojo, Maxwell Owachigiu, Arthur Kiggundu and David Kasaija among others.
Kitara will be representing Uganda in the CAF Confederations Cup which starts in August, 2024.
