“I can’t be that stupid” — Eddy Kenzo refuses to back Bobi Wine’s return to stage

Singer-turned-Presidential Advisor Eddy Kenzo said he can’t advise President Museveni on permitting Bobi Wine to return to the stage and perform freely because the latter wants to unseat the former.
“I can’t advise President Museveni about permitting Bobi Wine to freely return to the stage and perform as he used to do because the latter wants to unseat the former from his office,” Eddy Kenzo said.
Eddy Kenzo explained that in the many times Bobi Wine has stepped on the stage, he has always been preaching the gospel of change and overthrowing the ruling government, particularly, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
He noted that Bobi Wine uses the stage as his gun to enlighten others to rally for change, a thing that he can’t advise his boss about.
“In the many moments he has had the chance to step on the stage, he has been preaching the gospel of unseating President Museveni from his position. So, I’m not that stupid to advise the president to permit Bobi Wine to perform while preaching his change gospel, because the stage is his gun that he uses to enlighten others to call for change. So, I can’t, ” Eddy Kenzo commented.
During the interview, Eddy Kenzo hinted at how he has personal issues with Bobi that went unresolved.
Meanwhile, Bobi Wine—real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu—continues to face performance bans and restrictions despite his continued popularity both at home and abroad.
His music and message have long been seen as a threat to the long-standing Museveni administration.
