How Kato Lubwama opposed changing the national anthem

Miles Rwamiti Apuuli, a seasoned media personality, shared a moment when the late Hon. Kato Lubwama strongly opposed the idea of redoing the Uganda National anthem.
Appearing on Sanyuka TV’s Bingenda Bitya show, hosted by Anna Talia Oze, he disclosed that the likes of Alex Mukulu and his team were seriously considering changing the national anthem.
However, they faced stiff resistance from Hon. Kato Lubwama.

Kato Lubwama boldly told them to back off the national anthem. He threw shade at their proposal. When we tried to pick calls about the topic, it was all overwhelming and we couldn’t. I recall that was one of the shows that elevated NTV.
During the interview, Rwamiti also spoke up about his political aspirations, affirming that he will be contesting the Leader of Opposition (LoP), Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi, the MP of Nakawa East.
He cited that Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi hasn’t impressed the residents of Nakawa yet.
