Five-star KCCA obliterate relegation candidates Bright Stars
KCCA FC cruised to a convincing 5-0 win over hapless Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Friday at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Bright Anukani bagged a brace while Usama Arafat Kizza, Joao Gabriel and Saidi Mayanja scored a goal each in the clean out victory.
Right from onset, KCCA FC looked the outright winner, dominating proceedings.
Anukani opened the scores in the 18th minute, with his low drive at the edge of the box beating goalkeeper Derrick Were.
In the 32nd minute, Usama was the end of Shafik Nana Kwikiriza’s cross to double the lead for the hosts.
Mayanja made it three minutes later off a well worked team build up and Anukani stretched the lead further before the break with his second of the day and KCCA’s fourth.
After recess, substitute Gabriel who replaced Umaru Lutalo put the game beyond reach with his first goal of the season.
The result lifts KCCA FC up to fourth place on 34 points while Soltilo Bright Stars FC remain engulfed in the relegation mix, second from bottom on 12 points.
