The third edition of the Kisubi Mapeera Old Students Association (KIMOSA) sports gala was successfully held at the school main playground in Kisubi, Katabi Town Council – Wakiso district.

The day-long enticing sports gala witnessed action in two sports disciplines; football and basketball.

Football was played right from the group stages with the knock out stage ushered in by the quarter finals, semi-finals and finals eventually.

Spurred by talisman Ivan “Kanda” Agamile, the class of 2020 won the football contest whilst basketball was won by the class of 2019.

After a goal-less stalemate in the finals, post-match penalties decided the feat of the 2020 class and that of the losing finalists; class of 2015.

Drake Drani and Kent Ssebagala scored the two penalties for the triumphant class of 2020 whilst Mark Ssekabira and Tarvin Wamala missed their kicks.

Samir Lutaaya, goalkeeper for class of 2020 saved three penalties from the 2015 class.

In basketball, the class of 2019 won the tourney after winning their round robin matches.

The winners were rewarded with a trophy apiece and gold medals.

The runners up took silver medals.

The KIMOSA sports gala once again provided the opportune moment for the old students of Kisubi Mapeera Secondary School to network, exercise, smile together as they reflected upon the old memories at this mighty school.

The chief organizer of this gala Allan “Mukiga” Atuhaire lauded all the participating classes and students who sacrificed their precious time to turn up at the school to engage in the third edition of the KIMOSA sports gala.

“I want to thank all the old students of Kisubi Mapeera Secondary School for attending the third KIMOSA sports gala which was successful. There was a lot of fun and entertainment. The old students rekindled the old memories at the school” Atuhaire remarked.

A total of ten teams took part in the football gala.
