Fans of Express Football Club will converge at the Hamz Stadium (Nakivubo war memorial grounds) for a general meeting this coming Sunday, 6th April 2025.

According to the fans’ coordinator, Julius Bakunda, the key items on the day’s agenda will be review of the fans’ committee term in office, weighing the positives (opportunities and achievements) vis-à-vis the challenges encompassed.

We call upon the fans of Express Football Club to turn up at Hamz Stadium this Sunday (6th April 2025) for a crucial general meeting where review of the fans’ committee in office will be among the key discussion topics. Come one, come all. Express Red Express Square pass moto.

This meeting is expected to commence by 11 am and shall end at 2 pm.

Other issues to discuss will entail the vibrancy of the Express Red Army throughout the country, discussion of current issues of the club, review of the Kitara game humiliation, among others.

This season, the Red Eagles have blown hot and cold with inconsistent performances home and away.

Out of the 21 games played, Express has managed to win 8, drawn 4 times and lost 9 as they have fetched 28 points, seated in the 9th position.

They are 21 points adrift from the current leaders Vipers.

Express FC has of recent suffered glitches with an ugly players’ revolt and refusal to train as they demand unpaid salaries, allowances and other wages.

The club management has vowed to vehemently arrest the situation as the final bend of the season fast approaches.

This is also expected to be one of the key discussion points by the fans.

Express Football Club is popularly christened as “Mukwano Gwa bangi“. The club was founded in 1957 and has won the Uganda Premier League seven times (1974, 1975, 1993, 1995, 1996, 2011-12 and lately 2020-2021).

They are 10-time winners of the Stanbic Uganda Cup competition (1985, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2002-03, 2006 and lately 2006-07) with one East African Hedex Super Cup (2001-2002).

Express FC boosts of one of the biggest fan bases in Uganda.
