Uganda Paralympic ushers in new executive committee, Mpindi returns as president

The Uganda Paralympic Committee (UPC) conducted a successful elective assembly at Materwood Hotel in Kyaliwajjala.

Long serving president Bumali Mpindi returned unopposed during the assembly supervised by National Council of Sports official Anne Nankya.

Oscar Wakhooli, and advocate of the High Court conducted the tranquil elections.

Bumali lauded the electoral college who once again entrusted him with the leadership mantle.

I thank the delegates that have entrusted me again with this leadership, we still have many challenges from little funding compared to member associations, lack of facilities, and classification of our athletes. But we are going to work step by step.

Mpungu defeated Engineer Sulaiman Mayanja 15-06 votes.
