BUL edge inconsistent Villa in Njeru


BUL FC overcame SC Villa as the two teams faced off in a Uganda Premier League game on Friday at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Fresh from defeating League leaders Vipers SC, the Jogoos fell to BUL FC 1-0 in a closely contested game.
Since the start of the season, SC Villa has struggled to find consistence, doing well in this game and falling terribly in the subsequent one.
To be exact, SC Villa have not won back to back games in the League this season and there biggest undoing has come on the road.
SC Villa can only account for one win away in the League this season, coming against Maroons FC (2-0) on 9th March 2025.
In today’s game, Jerome Kirya’s 21st minute low drive at the edge of the box was the difference.
The silky midfielder received a long pass from defender Thomas Kimbowa, calmly controlled the ball before shooting at the near post.
Substitute Isaac Musiima thought he had doubled the lead for the hosts but his would be goal in the 83rd minute was cancelled for offside. The replays on TV showed otherwise.
BUL FC eventually held on claim maximum points and move up to 3rd place on 39 points. SC Villa on the other side remained 8th on 30 points.
