It’s difficult to describe the pain of seeing someone you love slowly slip away. For six long years, my mother lay in a hospital bed at Aga Khan — breathing, but barely living. Her body grew frail, her eyes distant, and doctors had no clear explanation for what was happening.
It began with constant tiredness. Then came sharp pains, rapid weight loss, and her legs growing too weak to support her.
