BUL have announced the signing of defender Bakari Magumba on a two-year contract.

The centre back joins the self-proclaimed Eastern giants as a free agent after leaving Mbarara City where he played last season.

Magumba is viewed as a direct replacement for Ronald Otti who transferred to Kitara early this week.

On joining BUL, Magumba said; “It’s a dream come true for me to be here now. I have been a fan of this great club since childhood and always dreamt of playing for the team.

“BUL is our home team and I am proud that they have given me the chance to come back home.

“This is the team I have always wanted to play for, it’s the team that I have been working hard to impress, and now that I have got the opportunity to put on these colors, I and my fellow players shall fight hard to achieve the team’s goals.”

At Kitara, the transfer business continues with the club giving new contracts to forward Jude Ssemugabi and defender Benjamin Nyakoojo.

The two signed a one year contract each to keep playing at Kitara ahead of a big campaign that will see them make a maiden continental appearance when they play in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Nyakoojo said: “I’m really happy to extend my contract at Kitara football club. I had a mixed 2023/24 season but I hope this new one will be a better one. I’m really happy to be continuing this chapter in Hoima.”

Jude Ssemugabi said; I feel excited after renewing my stay and believe this second opportunity the club has given me is going to be a different one . I promise to work harder and help my team reach its targets but most importantly I want to utilize this spell to elevate my career further and play for the national team as well.”
