Courtney was handed the same charges in addition to second-degree murder. Her parents were later released. However, there was a warrant issued stating they must surrender by March 2024. They did so in February, posted bond, and were released again.

As previously reported by The Shade Room, Clenney was charged and arrested in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian ‘Toby’ Obumseli, in August 2022.

Neighbors reportedly contacted the police after overhearing a domestic disturbance between the pair on April 3, 2022. Clenney admitted to stabbing Obumseli with a knife. Her attorney later stated it was in self-defense.
