Sexyy Red is sharing a message after footage surfaced of a brawl she was involved in at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.

Sexyy Red Is Placed In Cuffs After Throwin’ Hands

According to TMZ, the rapper was arrested and taken into custody on the morning of Saturday, June 8. The outlet reports that Red was involved in a “fight with another group” of people.

Additionally, the outlet has even obtained surveillance footage of the ordeal.

In the clip, a few men are seen tussling and yanking one another. As the group moves out of the camera frame, Red is seen entering the surveillance and carrying a guard pole.

It appears the rapper was ready to use the weapon in defense of those who may have been in her crew. However, before she could take any action, one individual appeared to block her from getting involved. Subsequently, the rapper seems to lose her footing and falls to the ground.

After getting up, Red walks off camera. The clip then cuts to what appears to be moments later when another man punches the individual who pushed Sexyy Red on the floor.

Later in the video, Red is seen running off camera and then returning with what appears to be a wig in her hand. At the same time, authorities are also seen apprehending another male individual.

The outlet reports that Red was arrested for disorderly conduct. Additionally, it remains unclear what prompted the brawl. However, the other individuals involved reportedly were charged with assault.

Additionally, TMZ notes that those who were injured in the ordeal were taken to a hospital.

Sexyy Red Seemingly Speaks On Her Arrest

According to a tweet shared by blogger Milagro on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday, June 10, Red briefly addressed her arrest after being released from custody. In a video clip, the rapper appears to be riding in a cat as she tells viewers she “just got out.”

Additionally, Red waves what appears to be an evidence bag containing a red object before turning the camera to her friends.

A separate photo included in the post appears to show a now-deleted post from Sexyy Red’s Instagram Story. In the post, the rapper shares a message for “the people that was in that altercation at the airport…”

“Please dm me so I can replace yo phone!!” she wrote.

Furthermore, Milagro’s post caption alleges that the brawl was prompted by “someone taking an unauthorized photo” of the rapper.

However, as mentioned, authorities or anyone involved in the fight have not confirmed details about what started the altercation.

Social media users have reacted to the footage of Red in The Shade Room’s comment section.

Meanwhile, Sexyy Red appears to be poking a little fun at the incident. On Tuesday, June 11, she took to X and her Instagram Story to share a video post of herself.

In the post, the rapper wrote, “Dat wasn’t df me.”

However, in the background audio of her post, Red added her song, ‘TTG.’ In the track, she raps, “All my b*****s trained to go, B***h, we TTG.”
