Ugandan Premier League record holders SC Villa are close to finalising a transfer deal for Wakiso Giants forward Kenneth Kimera.
Kimera has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the reigning champions ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The talented youngster joined Wakiso Giants on a three-year contract at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
Kimera impressed after a strong performance with Gomba Ssaza in the Buganda Masaza Cup, leading to his move from Manyangwa FC.
In his debut season, Kimera scored 10 goals and played a key role in Wakiso Giants’ fight to avoid relegation.
SC Villa hopes Kimera can bring his scoring touch to bolster their attacking options.
Kimera will face competition for a starting position from Charles Lwaga and Reagan Mpande.
After winning the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League title, SC Villa will represent Uganda in the CECAFA Kagame Cup and the CAF Champions League.
