Ugandan Premier League side KCCA FC is actively seeking to complete its transfer business before the end of July.
The club has intensified negotiations with Bright Stars to secure the services of speedy forward Shafick Kakande, Kawowo Sports reliably understands.
Kakande is still under contract with Bright Stars, but he’s attracting interest from several clubs in the league though KCCA appears to be a frontrunner in the race to sign him.
Kakande’s impressive performances, particularly in the second half of the last season, have garnered attention. KCCA believes the youngster has the potential to be a star in Ugandan football.
However, Kawowo Sports understands that Bright Stars is asking for a transfer fee of around UGX 30 million for Kakande.
The 20-year-old forward scored four goals and had four assists in 29 games last season.
KCCA is also in the final stages of negotiations with other players, including Hudu Mulikyi, Shafick Nana Kwikiriza, Steven Munguchi, and Emmanuel Anyama.
