Tamale Mirundi Junior, son of the Ugandan political commentator and former presidential press secretary, Tamale Mirundi, has announced the burial arrangements for his late father.
The elder Mirundi passed away last night at Kisubi Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment.
According to Junior Mirundi, the vigil for his father will be held in Kyengera, near Watoto Church, starting today and continuing through Friday.
Following the vigil, the body will be transported to Kalagala in Rakai District on Saturday, where the burial is scheduled to take place on Sunday.
In his statement, Junior Mirundi expressed his gratitude to everyone who has offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
He acknowledged the outpouring of comfort and solidarity from friends, family, and the broader community.
