2024 USSSA Kayunga District Football (Boys):
- Final (Monday, 8th April): St. Mathias Kalemba SSS Vs Namagabi UMEA School
- Venue: Ntenjeru Ssaza playground
The final of the 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) boys football will be played between two rivals; St. Mathias Kalemba SSS and Namagabi UMEA school.
This match will be held at the Ntenjeru Ssaza playground on Monday, 8th April 2024.
The development comes after the final group stage matches and semi-finals were completed on Thursday, 4th April 2024.
Namagabi UMEA School edged St. Mathias Kalemba 1-0 during the group stage match match before they drew 2-all with Busaana.
St. Mathias Kalemba defeated Busaana 3-0 with a brace from Francis Ssembatya and another goal by Zahidu Kasango.
In the semi-finals, Namagabi UMEA School edged Mt Camel School 2-1 and St. Mathias Kalemba outwitted St Mark 1-0.
Babu Muran Were was on target for St. Mathias Kalemba SS against St Mark.
Isaac “Ozil” Kitakula, head coach at St Mathias Kalemba Nazigo believes his team has what it takes to win the championship.
“We shall give our best shot forward to succeed in the final against Namagabi. The players will approach the match with caution and aggression” Kitakule remarked.
In netball semi-finals, St Mathias Kalemba will face Suuka Islamic School as Namagabi will take on Kitimbwa Bright Future.
On the same day, the volleyball semi-finals and finals will also be played.
The zonal championships for Kayunga, Mukono and Buikwe will be hosted in Buikwe district in mid-April 2024.
