Namuwongo Blazers continued their dominant start to the National Basketball League season with a 91-79 victory over JKL Dolphins at Abuja Park, Nalya, on Wednesday.

The Blazers extended their perfect run to three wins in as many games, maintaining their unbeaten streak as the campaign progresses.

Tonny Drileba capped off the first quarter with a long-range three-pointer, but the Blazers still trailed by four points at the break.

The second quarter saw a major shift in momentum. The Blazers took control, opening up an 18-point lead after outscoring the Dolphins 36-14 before halftime.

After the break, the Dolphins came out stronger, edging the third quarter 25-24 to set up an intense final period.

However, the Blazers held firm, securing a 12-point victory in front of their passionate home crowd.

Nam Blazers return to action on Friday, April 4, when they face JT Jaguars at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Peter Obleng (16 points), Innocent Ochera (15 points), and Tonny Drileba (13 points) led the Blazers’ offensive charge.

Clement Kabangu (21 points), Philip Ameny (18 points), and Mesho Kenneth (10 points) contributed to the Dolphins’ effort but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.
