She spoke to Mbu about her work, lifestyle, opinions on marriage, music, and so much more:

How would you describe yourself?

I’m a TV host, media personality, model, and beauty queen. I was crowned Miss Uganda Beach Beauty 2018/2019. Previously, I have hosted some of the top TV shows including UnCut Kalakata with Zahara Totto, Isaac Kaiyz, and Sandra Liane, and Morning Xpress with Precious Remmy and Brain Wakko.

I am currently co-hosting the SheTalk show – a girl/women empowerment show – on Sanyuka TV. I also do my other side gigs as a poultry farmer, inspired by my mother.

What, in your opinion, made you known to the public?

A bunch of events led to my success. I was the youngest contestant to win Miss Uganda Beach Beauty in 2018. Also hosting UnCut Kalakata, a popular TV show in Uganda, made me quite popular.

Achievements

  • Hosting top-rated TV shows.
  • Miss Uganda Beach Beauty 2018.
  • Graduating from university.
  • Loving myself.

Biggest embarrassment in your career

The Alien Skin airport interview saga! But the media and Ugandans showed me love.

Who inspires you?

Rihanna. Her story of rising to the top as a billionaire mogul from humble beginnings inspires me a lot. That’s my aura.

What’s your favorite Social Media Platform? And Why?

TikTok. It is a fun, supportive, and opportunity-filled platform for the youth. With just one video clip, you can become a global sensation.

How do you deal with criticism, especially on social media?

I focus on constructive feedback. The world is full of adventures for me to waste time on insecure people.

What is a “good future” in your books?

Uhmm, a good future should smell like a happy, healthy, wealthy, and purposeful life.

You recently graduated. Tell us more about that (course, duration, campus, etc)

I had a lot of financial constraints in my past that got me into a “dead year” at Makerere University but joining Next Media came with an opportunity to pursue my dream. Now I am a degree hotter with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Victoria University.

How did that make you feel?

Graduating was an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and gratitude.

Do you plan on having kids anytime soon?

Lol (Laughs). Are you serious? My ovaries are for money-making, not babies for now. But I love to be a “Nalongo” in the future.

Is marriage a big deal?

My love life is in “Do Not Disturb” mode. But marriage, for me, is on 2030 vibes when am purposefully content with a great king.

What do you regard as the biggest myth that critics often point out about you?

That I’m only famous for my beauty and not my intellectual capabilities. But lol, beauty can open doors but it’s hard work and resilience that keeps you up there.

What’s an ideal first date in your books?

A blissful upscale dinner with meaningful conversations.

What music are you playing heavily currently? (Top 5)

  1. Dawa – Elijah Kitaka
  2. Dating – SZN She sea
  3. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone
  4. Waamu – Apass
  5. Moving – Omah Lay

How do you describe your fashion?

Dark, classy, aesthetic, and tomboy femme (a little girly, a little boyish).

Biggest turn-off?

Disrespect and dishonesty.

Biggest turn-on?

Confidence and kindness.
