Martin Kizza Lubwama scored his third goal in three matches with his new side, Fasil Kenema Football Club.

The third goal arrived at the Abebe Bikila stadium on Sunday, 15th September 2024 against Ethiopia Electricity Football Club during their 2-0 triumph to lift this year’s Addis Ababa city cup trophy.

Kizza opened the scoring for Fasil Kenema in the 23rd minute, a deft tap onto the ball ahead of the advancing goalkeeper.

The second goal for Fasil Kenema came in the 62nd minute before they protected their lead to victory as Wubetu Abate Webetu’s led charges lifted the trophy.

Kizza is a left footed fast paced player who can be deployed on either flanks.

He penned a two-year employment deal with the Ethiopian giants.

The 26-year-old attacker has previously featured at Uganda’s top leading sides; Sports Club Villa, Express, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and Vipers.

He also played professionally in South Africa at Free Stars and Royal Eagles Football Clubs.

A number of other Ugandan footballers are currently playing in the Ethiopia national league.

These include; Brian Aheebwa (Abra Minch), Simon Peter Oketch (Commerical Bank of Ethiopia), Geofrey Wasswa (Ethiopian Bunna), goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi (Defense Force Football Club), Charles Musiige (Diradawa), Thomas Ikara (Sidama Bunna), among others.
