Kitara return to Royal Park Butema on Thursday with a clash against Police.

The hosts are desperate to return to winning ways after two successive defeats to KCCA and NEC and are aware that nothing short of maximum points against the Cops will increase pressure on Brian Ssenyondo.

We come into this game off disappointing results but we picked some lessons which we hope to carry into the next game and try to overturn the deficit we suffered against NEC,” Brian Ssenyondo said.

“Going forward, we want to build on that and bounce back with a satisfying performance. We know our opponents will also come motivated but we have been working on our defence and finishing and expect a better game this time round.”

Ssenyondo whose side are amongst the title favourites still confident his side isn’t out of the race early this season.

“Also, the title chase is not over after these two losses, we are still working towards our target this season. We are making steady progress and believe our objectives are still attainable.”

The hosts could hand Patrick Kaddu his debut to lead the line with national team players Jude Ssemugabi and Denis Omedi joining the attack.

For Police who are winless in their three opening matches, all ending in stalemates, they will hope Isaac Ogwang, Herman Wasswa, Brian Obedi and Denis Kalanzi are in fine form.
