Kibuli Secondary School Badminton team is set to compete at the 24th edition of the World Badminton Junior championship.

A delegation of six players (three boys and girls apiece) with their head coach Joshua Muguluma left the country on Friday afternoon.

The girls on the team are Olivia Kyomukama, Nazifa Nakiyemba and Ramiah Bukenya.

The boys’ contingent has Arafat Tendo Kibirige, Eric Ofoyuru and Aaron Ndawula.

“We have been training well and shall be able to gallantly represent the country at the world junior championships in China” Muguluma, the head coach stated.

All the games for will be held at the Nanchang International Sports Center in the city of Nanchang, Jiangxi – China.

There will be various categories to be competed in to include singles (boys and girls), doubles (boys and girls) as well as mixed cluster for teams and doubles.

This year’s championship will mark the 24th edition since inception which are expected to shuttle off on 30th September until the 13th October 2024.

This is first time since 2000 that the BWF World Junior Championships will be held in China.

Last year, these games were hosted in Spokane, Washington state in the United States of America.
