Papa Cidy, whose real name is Hamidu Sekyeru, a Ugandan singer, ruled out returning to his motherland following his recent confession of belonging to the LGBTQ Pride movement.
Speaking in a TikTok livestream, he disclosed that he is very comfortable living the life he always fancied in the United Kingdom (UK) where he is based.
He stated that he finds no reason to return to Kampala since the lawmakers passed a stringent law that punishes individuals who affiliate with the Pride movement.
When asked whether his colleagues in the music industry used not to know about his sexuality, he responded noting that some would speculate but he always kept it as a secret to himself.
By doing so, he was protecting his sanity and being discriminated against by those he was living with at the time.
Papa Cidy went ahead to express that he always never had feelings for the opposite sex and would find them less attractive.
