ISA League: Glamour as Excellency Rewarded

The International School Alumni (ISA) League, powered by Guinness, crowned its Season Two champions on Saturday at a lively awards ceremony held at Meraki Karting in Bugolobi.

The chilly evening was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and celebration as alumni from various international schools came together to honor football and friendship.

Guests were welcomed with infectious beats as residential DJs warmed up the crowd with Amapiano and Afrobeat mixes.

Guinness, the official beer partner, flowed throughout the night, keeping the atmosphere lively and complementing the spirit of camaraderie that defines the ISA League.

Pre-award activities included board games and under-table football, giving guests a chance to reconnect while enjoying friendly competition. Later, DJ Vanss kept the energy high with urban classics that had alumni dancing and singing along.

On the football front, Kabojja Warriors were crowned overall champions of the ISA League. Their striker, Daniel Malong, earned the Golden Boot for his outstanding goal-scoring feats. Stefano Loro of the ISU Leopards took home the Top Assist Award, while Ronnie Kasujja from the Vienna Titans claimed the Golden Glove.

As the awards concluded, Etania took to the stage, electrifying the crowd with a set spanning Afrobeats, dancehall, and local Ugandan hits, keeping the celebration going late into the night.

ISA League President Travor Bwiiso praised the event’s spirit of community. “The ISA League is more than just football; it is about reconnecting, networking, and celebrating the bond we share as alumni. Season Two has been bigger and better, and we look forward to making it even greater next season,” he said.

Mercy Atwongyeire, Project Manager Premium Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited, reaffirmed Guinness’ support for the league. “Guinness is proud to be part of this exciting journey that brings together young professionals and old friends through sport, music, and good times. Nights like this are what Guinness is about: energy, passion, and togetherness,” she said.

The ISA League will return next summer for Season Three, promising more football, music, and unforgettable memories.
