Uganda’s boxing sport has been significantly boosted with the support of international music star and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi.

The Nigerian superstar, a singer, songwriter and record executive is known for his innovative business ventures.

He is currently in Kampala to support the Zebra boxing club, which was founded by Isaac Ssenyange, also known as Zebra Mando, the former captain of the Uganda National Boxing Team, the Bombers.

With this support from Chop Gaming, under Mr Eazi’s leadership, the boxing gym is set for refurbishment, offering renewed hope for its completion and the continuation of Zebra’s legacy.

Mr Eazi’s support will see Zebra Boxing Club empower the community and provide a safe space for young boxers to develop their skills, build confidence, and foster resilience.

This support underscores the club’s mission to positively impact lives through the discipline and camaraderie of boxing, showcasing the transformative power of sports in fostering personal growth and community development.

This is not the first time Mr. Eazi has rendered his support to the sport of boxing. He has previously extended support to similar initiatives in Accra, Ghana, and Cameroon.

In Accra, he was instrumental in the renovation of the Bronxy Boxing Gym, a facility renowned for training and producing some of Ghana’s finest boxers.

Mr. Eazi oversaw the complete refurbishment and modernization of the facility, equipping it with state-of-the-art equipment to elevate it to the international standards.

This initiative significantly boosted the facility’s capacity to train and produce world[1]class athletes and provided a substantial upgrade to the local boxing infrastructure.

Mr Eazi’s move to support Ugandan boxing is not surprising, given his passion for African development and his investment in the sports betting and gaming brand Choplife Gaming.

His journey within the sports industry reflects his dedication to African entertainment and sports promotion.

Mr. Eazi’s support of Uganda’s boxing scene comes at a time when the sport is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. One significant factor driving this resurgence is the influx of new talent

Young boxers have shown promise, making a mark on the regional and international stage. This latest crop of boxers has rekindled hope and excitement among fans, who see a bright future for the sport.

However, the boxing sport still faces enormous challenges, such as limited funding and a lack of infrastructure, including training facilities and exposure, which have made it struggle to maintain its footing.

This makes Mr Eazi’s support timely and welcome, as he is expected to inspire a new generation of boxers. His support will boost the profile of Ugandan boxers, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and compete at the highest levels.

Mr Eazi’s venture into the gaming industry began 2017 as a Brand Ambassador for the betPawa brand.

He eventually became an investor and shareholder of betPawa’s parent company and became its licensed operating partner in five countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Rwanda, and Benin) under the umbrella of www.choplifegaming.com.

He has sponsored sports teams such as Rayon Sports FC in Rwanda and Sporting Lagos in Nigeria and endorsed athletes like Stephane Fondjo, the WBC Asia and Middle East Super Middleweight Champion, and Maxwell Djantou, a globally recognized Sambo champion who is now progressing in MMA.

The strategic investments and operational expertise, Mr Eazi has accumulated over the past seven years led to the creation of Chop Gaming Uganda.

Mr. Eazi’s backing of Uganda’s boxing scene, notably Zebra Boxing Club, will propel the sport to new heights, ushering in a fresh era of success and excellence.

Mr Eazi’s involvement in the sport undoubtedly brings much-needed resources and exposure to Ugandan boxing. This will improve infrastructure, training facilities, and competition opportunities for the boxing industry.

The support will bring pride and joy to the fans and provide opportunities for young boxers to excel and improve their lives, making Uganda reclaim its place as a force to be reckoned with in African and international boxing.
