From Struggle to Success!! My Journey Out of Poverty

My name is Patrick Lule, and I hail from Masaka, Uganda. For much of my life, I lived in financial struggle. I was raised in a modest home where money was always scarce. After completing my education, I tried every possible way to earn a living. I worked on construction sites, sold second-hand clothes in the market, and even took up boda boda riding, but none of these efforts ever brought true success. Every time I managed to save a bit of money and start something, it would collapse. I often blamed myself, thinking I was just unlucky. Yet, deep down, I felt like there was a greater force working against me.

In 2022, I attempted to launch a poultry business. I took a loan from a SACCO, bought chicks, and put up a small structure behind my house. For the first few weeks, things went well, but then the chicks started dying without clear cause. I followed veterinary advice, changed their feed, cleaned the place daily, but nothing worked. By the third month, nearly all the birds were gone. I was left with debt and a sense of deep frustration once again.
