“From Street Chapati Seller to a Life of Success” Samuel Shares His Journey

Life in Uganda is tough, especially for those from humble beginnings. Many young people struggle to make ends meet, and small street businesses often become their only source of income. I know this struggle well because my brother Samuel, from Masaka, experienced it every day. He sold chapati by the roadside for many years, hoping that one day his circumstances would improve. But nothing seemed to change. He would wake up at 5 a.m., knead flour, set up his stall, and work late into the night, yet at the end of the day, he returned home with only a few coins.
Samuel’s greatest challenge was that despite his hard work, he could barely provide for himself, let alone for his family. Rent was always a burden, and debts seemed to follow him everywhere. I remember nights when he went to bed hungry after feeding his children because he refused to let them suffer. Many times, he considered giving up completely. Yet, he never lost hope and always believed that somehow, a miracle would come his way.TO READ MORE, TAP HERE
