Former Masaka Woman MP Kabanda promises to serve for deprived communities ahead of 2026 elections

The former Masaka District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Babirye Kabanda has promised to work hard for all deprived families and the area infrastructure development within Masaka District in order to ensure that all the youth and elders are employed and catered for to live a good life in Uganda.
Hon. Babirye Kabanda, a teacher by profession and the founder of Babirye Kabanda foundation made the remarks on Sunday while addressing locals at Kasaka Village in Masaka District and the congregation welcomed her ideal strategy to ensure that they get out of poverty and live a lavish life.
Hon. Babirye Kabanda said that as part of her strategic goals to ensure that they work for the community and proposing in effecting laws that are satisfying Masaka District people interests and before she said they lost developmental programs and projects such as factories that could employ majority youth and locals which is due to poor voting system and considering leaders with lowly low grades in preparing enough resources for the voters thereby serving personal ambitions than working for the communities.
As for Clarity, Hon. Babirye Kabanda is married to Mr. Charles Kabanda, also a teacher and a business man in Masaka City residents of Kyabakuza Village and she serves as treasurer for the Democratic Party in Uganda.
Hon. Babirye is contesting for the Masaka District Woman Member of Parliament seat with an intention of serving the people and working together with partners in European countries such as Canada, Germany and United States of America whom she has succeeded and worked with and helped in distributing funding to aid scholastic materials distribution such as; books, and mattresses, bursaries for students in all levels of education in the country.
“I promise to work for all and sundry and I am capable of serving beyond myself as I stood tall to disrupt the scrapping of the sugar bill which was proposed by president Museveni to inconvenience sugar producers in Uganda and others which could be traced during my period in parliament before,” she said.
Hon. Babirye Kabanda donated scholastic materials including books, pens and sports jerseys for both netball and footballers as a way of inspiring them and empowering the community people in Masaka District.
“I am in charge of catering for many youth and students with free bursaries which I hope that when I get into parliament I could be empowered with more avenues and funding to look out for all Ugandans since it is my calling and major motive to help people in need,” she said.
According to Hon. Babirye Kabanda, Ugandans should learn to utilize developmental government programs and it is good to work with President Museveni if he is the available leader to get them resources to get out of poverty.
“Majority of the youth are unemployed yet they are the leading mobilisers in the voting process. They should learn to vote wisely and have ambitions that are highly inspiring and prepare them to achieve the best goals so it is good to work with leaders that are capable of funding them like I have always done before,” she added.
Hon. Babirye Kabanda is the proprietor of St Mary’s School and St Jude Secondary School and owns properties such as Mariana Gardens in Masaka City and she has worked with several organizations such as Sleeping Child around the world based in Cananda and others in rallying around to empower community and fostering development in Uganda.
According to Mr. Lukanga Majwala, the Democratic Party publicity secretary in Masaka City as well as a seasonal political pundit; Hon. Babirye Kabanda has intervened in the race to serve as the Masaka District Woman Member of Parliament at the right time and holds a bunch of expertise and potential to get all locals out of poverty.
“As the Democratic Party in Uganda, I want to unveil a new born baby in Hon. Babirye Kabanda who is tested and passed the test to serve all Masaka District people. She is a mother and a loving personnel with the intention of giving all people their equal share as citizens of Uganda who deserves good leadership and services,” said Mr. Majwala.
According to Mr. Caesar Mawanda, the aspiring Bukakata Sub county Parish chairperson for Masaka District they are garnering to work with Hon. Babirye Kabanda since she has worked for all Ugandans and trained many people at her school, employed them and gave out bursaries to people who are ripping big today in different employment entities and she could do more as the area Member of Parliament.
