Buddo SS secures two wins on day one of Wakiso Zonal Qualifiers | 2025 USSSA Football

The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Wakiso Zone boys’ football qualifiers kicked off on Tuesday, April 8.

Buddo Secondary School made an impressive start to the campaign, securing two victories on home turf.

They narrowly defeated Entebbe Parents 1-0 before delivering a commanding 6-0 win against St. Andrews in their second match.

Led by head coach Richard Malinga, Buddo SS is determined to reclaim the Wakiso District title, having fallen to rivals St. Mary’s Kitende in the previous edition.

Elsewhere, Greenlight Islamic recorded a dominant 5-0 win over Kingsway. Goals came from Emmanuel Lule, Abdu Razak Iradukunda, Simon Peter Okwi, Sudaice Ssemakula, and Thomas Kawooya.

Okwi was on the scoresheet again in their second match, as Greenlight edged past Kajjansi Progressive.

Zana Mixed Secondary School also enjoyed a successful start, defeating Hannah 3-0 with goals from Marol Makur Sanaya, Ibra Namuhwe, and an own goal by Ronal Otim.

Later that day, Zana Mixed claimed a 3-1 victory over St. Peters Nalya, thanks to goals from Salim Jayden Mubeezi, Robert Ssebaale, and Kenneth Galiwango.
