South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns will face record champions Al Ahly in the Caf Champions League semi-finals after both sides negotiated the quarter final stage.
The PSL winners held hosts Esperance of Tunisia to a goalless draw in Tunis to win the tie 1-0 on aggregate following their win at home last week.
The hosts had their celebrations cut short in the second half after they had a goal ruled out after a lengthy VAR check to the relief of the visiting side.

Ugandan legend Denis Onyango was amongst the unused substitutes on the day.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly won 1-0 away to Sudan’s Al Hilal of Sudan in Mauritania to win the game 2-0 on aggregate.
Elsewhere, Pyramids nearly gave away their first leg advantage in a 2-0 loss to FAR Rabat but held on to edge the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
Pyramids now awaits the winner between South Africa’s Orlando Pirates and MC Alger who face off on Wednesday with the Buccaneers leading 1-0 from the first leg.
