Draya Michele has reportedly filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, NFL player Tyrod Taylor.

Here’s What Reportedly Led To Draya Michele Suing Tyrod Taylor
According to an exclusive report published by TMZ on Thursday, June 27, Michele “just” filed the lawsuit against Taylor. The 39-year-old and mother of three is reportedly accusing the NFL vet of not holding up his end of a “house deal” they previously made.
The suit, reportedly obtained by the outlet, asserts that Taylor purchased a home in Los Angeles in 2022. Subsequently, he allowed Michele and her children to move into the residence.
According to Michele, at the time, she and Taylor entered a verbal agreement “that would allow her to one day buy” the home from the NFL player. The mother of three alleges that she and Taylor agreed that “any contributions” she made to the house would go toward the residence’s final purchase price. These “contributions” reportedly included “improvements to the place or mortgage payments.”
Michele and Taylor’s verbal exchange was reportedly made while they were still dating. Additionally, TMZ noted that the pair did not document their verbal deal with a written agreement.
However, In Touch Weekly reports that the lawsuit notes that in October 2023, “[Draya] and [Tyrod] memorialized the terms of their oral agreement by drafting a Residential Lease Agreement with an Option to Buy Agreement.” However, neither party signed the agreement.
What Happened To The Former Couple’s Alleged House Deal?
According to the lawsuit, Michele eventually offered Taylor $2.8 million for the home. However, in January 2024, he countered her offer with a request for $3.2 million. Michele ultimately agreed and allegedly spent $300,000 on the home, which she believed would go toward the purchase price.
Michele is now alleging that Taylor has renigged on their deal. Additionally, she says Taylor is now threatening to evict her from the property, and he’s refusing to sell the home.
“Furthermore, they are refusing to sell the property to her despite the substantial improvements she has invested in the property, believing in good faith she would eventually own the property, and thereby unjustly benefiting the defendants,” the suit reportedly states, per In Touch Weekly.
TMZ notes that Michele is reportedly suing Taylor for “breach of contract” and is seeking “unspecified damages.” In Touch Weekly adds that Taylor has yet to respond.
More Details On The Former Couple & Recent Events With Draya Michele
According to the outlet, Michele and Taylor reportedly began dating in 2020. In November of that year, Michele was spotted at a Los Angeles Chargers game, seemingly supporting Taylor, per The Shade Room.
In January 2021, the pair turned heads when they officially stepped out together for what appeared to be a dinner date in Santa Monica, California, per The Shade Room.

According to TMZ, Michele and Taylor parted ways in 2023. Later that year, Michele appeared on ‘Stepping Into The Shade Room’ and opened up about wanting more children while swerving any talk about her rumored new boyfriend, Jalen Green.
Then, in March 2024, Michele revealed she was pregnant with her third child, a baby girl, per The Shade Room.
The following month, Green popped out alongside the 39-year-old as they celebrated the child’s baby shower in coordinated ‘fits, per The Shade Room.
Michele gave birth to their baby girl in May and recently responded to negative commentary about her relationship with Green, who is 22 years old, while stepping out in Hollywood, California, per The Shade Room.
While on her outing, Michele seemingly took some photos with her baby girl and later shared them on social media.
It didn’t take long before the mother of three had to double down on her defense of her romance with Green once again.
