Buganda’s King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has appealed to his subjects to remain united and faithful as he recovers from an illness that has kept him abroad for three months.
In a video statement released on Monday afternoon by Buganda, the Kabaka emphasized the importance of unity during these challenging times. “Our strength lies in unity,” said the Kabaka.
Kabaka did not disclose his exact location in the video, but reports confirmed that he has been receiving treatment at the Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre, a private medical facility in Namibia, since April 2024.
Kabaka initially traveled to Germany before moving to the Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre.
Despite the challenges, the Kabaka expressed optimism about his health, saying.
My health is getting better. I hope to return home in the not-too-distant future. Kabaka
