Brian Avie looks west to Rwanda in his latest release, a remix to his project dubbed Omubiri on which he features Afrique Joe.

Brian Avie, real name Brian Baguma, has remained focused musically despite facing a couple of challenges which he has often publicly revealed.

In a way, you would think his persistence is paying off. Coupled with his vocal ability and songwriting skills, he is a talent to watch.

Omubiri made it to the airwaves a few months ago and now Brian Avie works with one of Rwanda’s most exciting talents Afrique Joe on the remix (produced by Nessim).

The visuals were shot in Rwanda by one of the best directors there, Fayzo Pro.

Brian Avie notes that his trip to Kigali was quite fruitful and he is excited about how much more East Africa can achieve with similar collaboration projects.

“I am thinking outside the box to expand my market and change the narrative that Ugandan music isn’t crossing borders anymore. I am slightly shifting from the local market,” he told Mbu.
