The 2024-2025 FUFA Big League officially kicked off with six matches during match day one on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at various venues across the country.

Ten (10) goals were scored in the six games played.

There were three straight victories as three games ended in stalemates.

Kigezi Home Boyz, Kiyinda Boys and Blacks Power recorded victories.

At the Kabale Municipal stadium in Southwestern Uganda, Kigezi Home Boyz overcame visiting Ntugasaze 2-0.

Joseph Sseremba scored a brace in this game that sent the Gorillas top of the table standings.

At the Bertham stadium in Gayaza, Kiyinda Boys recovered from a goal down to outmuscle visiting  MYDA 2-1.

Joel Mutusa gave the visitors (MYDA) the lead.

Innocent Opira scored past his own goalkeeper William Rawlings Osikol and Arafat Kigozi got the second goal for Kiyinda Boys.

Mike Siwu scored the all important goal for Blacks Power against visiting Arua Hill in their 1-0 home win at the Aki Bua Stadium in Lira city.

Kataka and Busoga United played to a 1-all draw at the Mbale City stadium.

Michael Olinga scored Kataka’s goal whilst Isaac Doka Mweru replied for Busoga United.

In Ntungamo, at the Kyamate stadium, Kaaro Karungi and visitors Gaddafi played to a one-all draw.

Ronald Bithum had Gaddafi’s goal as Allan Kabonge’s coached side earned a point at home.

The explosive West Nile derby between Onduparaka and Paidha Black Angels ended goal-less at the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium.

Match day two:

Match day two will come next weekend on 12th and 13th October 2024

On Saturday, 12th October 2024, Buhimba United Saints will host Onduparaka at the Kigaaya primary school.

Booma Football Club plays host to Black Power in Masindi.

On the next day, MYDA will host Calvary in Bukedea.

Ntugasaze shall take on Kiyinda Boys at the Mityana Ssaza ground, Busoga United will face Kaaro Karungi

Gaddafi, under a new management of UPPC will face Kigezi Home Boyz at the Works playground in Entebbe Municipality (Division A).

Booma Football Club will host Onduparaka at the Masindi Stadium.
