Ivan Ahimbisibwe bagged a hattrick as URA walloped Mbale Heroes 4-0 at the Municipal stadium on Saturday.

Amisi Bangwani added the other goal as the tax men condemned the Surgeons to the first home defeat of the season.

The URA number 9 headed the visitors in front after ten minutes when he got at the end of a brilliant cross from Moses Aliro.

He doubled the lead eight minutes later when reacted faster to hit the back of the net after Mbale Heroes goalkeeper Mujapwani failed to tame a low cross from Aliro.

The forward completed his hattrick, the first of the season in the entire premier league when he got at the end of another Aliro pass and shot in the roof of the net.

He then turned provider in the 58th minute setting up Bangwani whose shot from outside area ended up in the back of the net to send the away fans into frenzy.

With no head coach Richard Malinga on the bench, the hosts looked naïve and were a shadow of a side that put up good shows in their first three league outings against Express and Wakiso Giants despite defeat as well as in the win over champions Mbale.

They left the soggy ground with heads down heading into the international break and remain on 3 points, just one above the relegation zone.

URA move to 3rd place on the table with 7 points, same as UPDF and Wakiso Giants but they have a superior goal difference.

Next after the break will be a trip to Lugazi to face fellow newcomers Lugazi on October 16 while URA will host BUL two days later.
