Afcon 2025 Qualifiers Fixtures: Uganda Cranes to start and finish away from home

Following the draw of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Qualifiers conducted last week, CAF has confirmed the official fixtures of all the qualifiers set to take place between September and November 2024.

The released fixture will see Uganda Cranes start away from home and also finish away.

The first fixture will see the Cranes visit 1996 winners South Africa and then finish with Congo Brazzaville at a venue to be communicated since the Congolese don’t have a certified stadium to host their home games.

Here is a summary of Uganda Cranes fixtures

  • Monday September 02: vs South Africa (away)
  • Tuesday September 10: vs Congo Brazzaville (home)
  • Monday October 07: vs South Sudan (home)
  • Tuesday October 15: vs South Sudan (away)
  • Monday November 11: vs South Africa (home)
  • Tuesday November 19: vs Congo (away)

A total of 48 nations are into 12 groups of 4, with the top two finishers in the eleven (11) groups that do not involve tournament hosts Morocco, set to gain qualification to the final competition that will be take place between 21st December and 18th January, 2026. 

Uganda will be looking at returning to the finals after missing out on the last two editions in 2021 and 2023 despite back to back appearances in 2017 & 2019.
