K&K Music returns from hibernation as Lydia Jazmine, the Mith, and Martha Mukisa, among other top artists continue to release fresh projects. Take a look at our top 5 picks:
- Tompa – Vinka feat. K&K Music
K&K, formerly Kataleya and Kandle, are back in the music business with their first project since their hiatus – a new collaboration with Swangz Avenue’s Vinka. “Tompa” literally translates as “Don’t Give Me”. Produced by Nessim, the song speaks against zigzag love as the artists demand more love from their lovers.
- Don’t Worry – The Mith
In May, The Mith, real name Tom Mayanja, released “his new album dub”Don’t Worry” off the ‘THE UGANDAN 2; BALI-OKWABWE’ album. It is the rapper’s first single this year – a blend of Ugandan melodies and urban sound, showcasing his evolution as an artist.
Produced by Melanin Boy, the song was co-written by Yese Oman Rafiki and Dagg Mizzo. The song also features background vocals from singer Martha Smallz and Melanin Boy. The exciting visuals were directed by Adrian Series.
- Abeeyo – DJ Shiru feat. Jackie Chandiru
The Spin Master DJ Shiru has been releasing several music projects with a couple of Ugandan stars in recent months and he is back with yet another. On ‘Abeeyo’ the celebrated deejay works with Jackie Chandiru who is preparing a mega reunion concert with the Blu*3. The visuals were directed by Mo Films.
- Too Much – Tamugi feat. Martha Mukisa
On this list, Tamugi seems the least known but the deep-rooted industry has known him for quite a while as one of the gifted Songwriters. He linked up with Martha Mukisa on “Too Much” which was produced by X On The Beat.
- Freezing – Lydia Jazmine feat. An-Known
Lydia Jazmine and An-Known’s collabo “Freezing” is among those songs with the most catchy chorus currently. Produced by Artin, the beautiful love song combines two proven vocalists who create a masterpiece of a project. The video directed by Trizz Visuals is one to watch as well.
