4th National Public Relations Symposium officially launched.
during the official launch of the 4th PR Sympoium for 25th this month.

 

The Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) has officially launched the forthcoming 2025 4th National Public Relations Symposium (PRAU Symposium) set to be held on 25th July 25th, 2025, at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

 

The symposium aims to bring together PR and communications professionals to discuss strategies, leadership, and the impact of PR in the boardroom.

This year's theme is "From Strategy to the C-Suite," focusing on how PR professionals can move beyond strategy to influence decision-making at the highest levels.

 

The event is part of PRAU's ongoing efforts to advance the PR profession in Uganda, providing platforms for professional development, networking, and recognition of excellence.

The symposium, according to the organizers, will feature discussions, networking opportunities, and the presentation of the PRAU Excellence Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements in the field.

During the launch of the Symposium, it was announced that the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Anitah Among will be the Chief Guest

Dring a press conference held at the Red Cross Offices in Rubaga, the President of PRAU, Irene Nakasiita, who also doubles as Director of Communication at Uganda Red Cross Society, said that they are expecting over 500 guests during the symposium, including members and non-members, while encouraging both established and emerging professionals to attend, and emphasizing the value of networking and professional growth within the organization. 

“We expect over 500 people who are members of our profession and other well-wishers. This year’s symposium will feature an inspiring lineup of keynote speakers and dynamic panel discussions, designed to elevate communication practitioners’ professional stature and prepare them for influential roles in the boardroom,” she said. 

She emphasized that the 4th National Public Relations Symposium 2025 is a call for communication professionals & leaders to reimagine PR not merely as a support function, but as a core pillar of corporate strategy & governance

The launch event also showcased the various sponsors of the symposium, including: Bank of Uganda, URSB, Kampala Capital City Authority, Uganda National Oil Company, Capital Markets Authority, Media partners, among others.
