Why Sironko and Karamoja Should Vote Hon. Florence Nambozo Wamala Mayoga Again
In a country where many politicians are known more for their words than their deeds, Hon. Florence Nambozo Wamala Mayoga has proven herself to be a different kind of leader—one who leads with quiet strength, honesty, and real impact.
As Uganda gears up for another election, the people of Sironko and Karamoja are called to make an important decision. It’s a choice between empty promises and genuine service. Florence Mayoga stands out as the leader who truly cares—and who acts.
Her connection to the people is personal. Florence knows what it means to grow up with little. Raised in Sironko, she experienced the realities of rural life: walking long distances to school, studying under challenging conditions, and working in the gardens to support her family. She rose from those humble beginnings, and her journey keeps her grounded in the struggles of ordinary citizens.
One of the most impactful areas of her leadership is education. She has helped hundreds of students—especially girls—remain in school. In communities where early marriage and school dropouts are common, Florence has stepped in to make a difference. Many families in Sironko have benefitted from her efforts to provide school fees, books, and uniforms. Her support has given young people hope and the opportunity to pursue a better life.
Her service doesn’t stop at Sironko. As State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, she has committed herself to one of Uganda’s most vulnerable regions. She travels across Karamoja, listens to communities, and works closely with local leaders to implement meaningful programs. Her focus on food security, peace, and development shows her dedication to real, lasting change.
What makes her leadership even more admirable is her commitment to continuous learning. Even while serving in government, Florence has pursued further education. She recently earned a Master’s degree and is now working toward a PhD—a clear sign of her dedication to personal growth and better service to her people.
At a time when political rhetoric is loud and often empty, voters must ask: Do we want leaders who simply talk—or leaders who deliver? Florence Nambozo Wamala Mayoga is a proven leader of action. Her track record in Sironko, in Karamoja, and in Parliament speaks for itself.
If the people of Sironko and Bugisu want to see more progress in education, better services, honest leadership, and true development, they should stand with the one who has already shown them what commitment looks like.
That leader is Florence Mayoga.
