Ashraf ‘Fadiga’ Mugume has signed a new contract at KCCA that will see him play at the club until 2027.

The highly rated central midfielder was a subject of interest from childhood club Vipers SC with his current contract expected to expire at the end of June.

Mugume joined the Kasasiro as a free agent from Police FC in 2020 and is a main stay in Abdallah Mubiru’s team.

“I feel delighted to commit my future to KCCA FC. I have been happy since joining the club in 2020,” Mugume told the club website. “The first days at the club were a little tough as I had to adapt to a new environment but thanks to my teammates that made me feel at home,” he added.

“I am now a better player and have gained experience over the years. I am fully committed to the club and I want to win with KCCA FC. I have had several conversations with the manager and I am aligned to his philosophy and hopefully we can achieve many great things with this group.”

Last season, Mugume scored 7 goals helping the Kasasiro to overcome a poor start to the campaign.
