All is set for the highly anticipated regional league promotional play-offs to determine the four clubs that will be elevated to the betPawa big league for the forthcoming 2024-2025 season.

The two-legged promotional play-offs will be played commencing this Friday, 21st June 2024.

First legs:

Buganda region champions Ntugasaze will host Kampala region victors Proline on Friday, 21st June 2024 at the Mityana Ssaza ground.

Ntugasaze beat Simba (UWA) 2-0 at the Lugazi stadium whilst Proline edged CATDA 5-4 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended 1-goal apiece at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium.

The following day, Busei (Eastern region) will entertain MYDA (North Eastern) at the Iganga Ssaza ground.

On Sunday, 23rd June 2024, there will be two matches; Ntoda (Western) shall host Buhimba Saints United (Kitara) at the Kyamate playground in Ntungamo.

That same day, Northern Gateway (Northern region) will play Paidha Black Angels (West Nile region) at the UTC Playground in Lira city.

Return legs:

A week later, former top-flight side Proline shall then host Ntugasaze at the MTN Philip Omondi stadium in Kampala city on Thursday, 27th June 2024.

On the same day, MYDA, another former club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League will take on Busei at the Kongunga primary school.

The remain two matches will be played on Friday, 28th June 2024.

Paidha Black Angels will square up against Northern Gateway at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo.

Buhimba Saints United will then host Ntoda at the Kigaya COU playground.

The winner over the two legs on aggregate will make it to the betPawa big league.

In case of a tie, the away goal’s rule will be considered; penalties or a coin toss.

These play-offs are organized by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) under the competitions department.

The promoted clubs will replace the demoted teams from the 2023-2024 betPawa big league season.

Ndejje University, Jinja North United, Kyetume and Young Elephants were all relegated down to the respective regional leagues.

From the betPawa big league, three clubs were promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League – Uganda Police, Lugazi and Mbale Heroes.
