THAT IS TOTAL RUBBISH!! Hon Nsereko Attacks EC, Challenges Signature Process After Mabirizi Succeeds and Bobi Wine Fails

Hon. Muhammad Nsereko has openly criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) and its chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama, accusing them of fooling Ugandans during the presidential nomination process.
The Kampala Central MP wondered how an unpopular candidate like Male Mabirizi managed to collect all the required signatures to qualify, while Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, who is far more popular, was said to have failed in the same process.
“How can Mabirizi who is not known by all Ugandans manage to get all required signatures and you say Bobi Wine who is popular failed to get the same signatures?” Nsereko asked angrily while addressing journalists.
The legislator accused the Electoral Commission of playing political games and deliberately frustrating opposition candidates who have a large support base. He said this was a calculated move to weaken Bobi Wine ahead of the elections.
According to Nsereko, the commission’s actions raise doubts about the transparency and fairness of Uganda’s electoral system. He insisted that the public deserves answers, not excuses.
He further claimed that the system is being manipulated to give room for weak candidates who pose no real threat to President Museveni, while strong contenders are sabotaged. Nsereko said this is nothing short of political trickery.
The MP also warned Justice Byabakama and the EC not to take Ugandans for fools, stressing that the people clearly know where the support lies and will not be easily deceived.
Nsereko added that Bobi Wine’s popularity is evident across the country, and there is no way he could have failed to gather the necessary signatures if the process was fair.
He called on Ugandans to demand accountability and transparency from the Electoral Commission to ensure that elections are conducted in a credible and trustworthy manner.
The debate has sparked heated discussions nationwide, with many questioning the credibility of the EC and expressing fears that Uganda may once again face a rigged election process.
