At only 27, Tamale Mirundi Junior, son of the late renowned political analyst Tamale Mirundi, is feeling the weight of responsibilities usually associated with someone much older.

Following the recent loss of his father, Junior shared that the aftermath has left him with duties that make him feel as though he’s carrying the burden of a 60-year-old, despite having no children of his own.

He explained that while he may not yet be a father, he finds himself responsible for taking care of his siblings, their children, and his mother.

I am not even the firstborn, but someone brings a kid to you and says… Junior, this one is your sibling and it’s up to you to take care of them.

Junior went on to mention that while he loves his family, he had to put a stop to the idea of his home turning into a dormitory as more of his relatives suggested leaving their children with him.

His current load of responsibilities includes caring for three women, something he admits adds to the complexity of his situation.
