Following Monday’s court hearing, incarcerated music promoter Charles Olim a.k.a Sipapa was sent back to Luzira until the 18th of November 2024.

The controversial music promoter was arrested in September 2022 for allegedly masterminding a robbery in Bunga on the night of 28th August 2022.

Sipapa was arraigned before the Makindye Chief Magistrates Court on Monday for yet another hearing of his case.

Sipapa’s legal representative Geoffrey Turyamusiima revealed that a fingerprint expert was cross-examined today and there is hope that Sipapa will win the case.

They opened cases against him with allegations that he broke into the offices and made off with property including large sums of cash.

While in court today, they brought a fingerprint expert and we cross-examined him. We have always known that this is a fabricated case and the court will follow up further on the case considering today’s cross-examination, together with that of other witnesses and we believe Sipapa will win this case.

Turyamusiima further noted that there is one more witness awaiting cross-examination after whom they will have a submission of no case to answer.

“There is one more witness, an I.O. (Investigating Officer). After that, the court will allow us to have a submission of a No-Case-To-Answer and the judgment will be made,” Turyamusiima added.
