Shifrah, Once a Hozambe Video Vixen, Ditches Fake Celebrity Life for Honest Catering Work

Shifrah, once a popular video vixen featured in the famous Hozambe hit, has made a bold decision to leave the celebrity lifestyle behind. She revealed that her time in the entertainment industry was full of pretence and pressure to maintain a fake image. Today, she has embraced a completely different path — catering.
Known for her glamorous looks and appearances in music videos, Shifrah was once admired by many fans. But behind the smiles, she says, the life of a video vixen was not as glittering as it appeared. According to her, it was a world filled with competition, shallow friendships, and constant pressure to look perfect.
Shifrah admitted that the fame made her feel trapped. “It was not real. Most of what people saw was just for show,” she said. This realization made her reflect deeply on her life and her future. She knew she needed to choose a path that gave her peace of mind and a sense of purpose.
Her turning point came when she landed a job at Chef Godwin Uganda Catering Services, a well-known catering company. There, she found a supportive environment and discovered a passion for preparing and serving food. The experience was refreshing compared to the exhausting celebrity life she had left behind.
For Shifrah, working in catering has brought her a new kind of joy. She enjoys seeing people smile after tasting the meals she helps to prepare. Unlike the fleeting attention of the entertainment world, she says this work feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
Friends and fans were surprised when they heard about her decision. Some thought she had given up too soon, while others praised her courage. Shifrah, however, remains firm in her choice. “It is better to live a simple, honest life than to continue living in pretence,” she explained.
The catering business is not easy, but Shifrah believes it is worth it. She is learning new skills every day and hopes to one day start her own restaurant. Her story has inspired young women who may feel pressured by social media and fame to understand that true happiness often lies in simpler choices.
Industry watchers note that Shifrah’s move reflects a growing trend where people, especially women in entertainment, are choosing personal well-being over glamour. Many are realizing that chasing fame at all costs does not always guarantee peace or success.
Despite leaving the limelight, Shifrah does not regret her past. She says her experiences in music videos shaped her confidence and taught her resilience. But for now, her focus is on building a stable and authentic life in catering, away from the spotlight.
Shifrah’s journey shows that it is never too late to change direction. From being a celebrated vixen in Hozambe to working in the kitchens of Chef Godwin Uganda Catering Services, she has proven that choosing honesty and passion over pretense can be the best decision one can ever make.
