Offensive midfielder Peter Lwasa has seen it in his footballing journey.

Tanzania, particularly at Bukoba based Kagera Sugar Football Club will be his next home for the next 24 months (two years).

This was after signing the binding documentations with the sugar manufacturing factory on Thursday, 11th July 2024.

“I am glad to join Kagera Sugar Football Club. I will give 100 percent in all that I do from training to matches” Lwasa who last season played at KCCA Football Club vowed.

Tanzania is the fourth country that he will be plying his professional football trade after services in his native Uganda at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Kenya (Sofapaka, Kariobangi Sharks and Gor Mahia) as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo with Lubumbashi Sport.

Lwasa has already joined his new teammates in Bukoba for the pre-season training ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

This coming season, Kagera Sugar Football Club will be coached by Belgian born tactician Pieter de Jongh, deputized by Marwa Chamberi.

Lwasa and his team management believe that the opportunity to play at Kagera Sugar is envisaged as a stepping stone to elevation for further growth of his career.

At Kagera Sugar Football Club, he is already assured of company from other Ugandans as Hamis Diego Kiiza, Nicholas Kasozi, Deus Bukenya and yet another signing, goalkeeper Tom Ikara.
