Flau’jae Johnson Reacts To Aries Spears Comments

As The Shade Room previously reported, stand-up comedian Aries Spears hopped on Instagram with a “quick public service announcement” for black women who choose to wear fake eyelashes.

Recently, Aries took to social media to express his disapproval of the dramatic fake eyelash beauty trend, particularly among Black women.

Well, it looks like Flau’jae Johnson seemed to have a different opinion in regard to Aries’ statements. Recently, TMZ Hip Hop caught up with the LSU Tigers basketball player and rapper, and she said women should continue to “rock their lashes.”

“People always have something to say about women and what they wear. Baby, do what you want, wear what you want. Rock yo lashes. I’m rocking mine,” Flau’jae said.

When asked about Aries comparing dramatic false lashes to BBLs on faces, Flau’jae quickly clapped back, saying, “I just think men need to stay in men place.”

Here’s What Aries Spears Said About Black Women & Fake Lashes

In the short clip, Spears gave a shoutout to all Black queens and later asked for a major request.

“To all my beautiful Black queens out there, I want y’all to know from the bottom of my heart that I love you, I respect you… you’re beautiful, and you’re mandatory. That being said, can some of y’all, please, for the love of God, stop wearing them big, fake-a** eyelashes? You have no idea, are you not aware of how ridiculous that sh** looks? It looks like you got Pterodactyl wings on your face. You don’t need it!” Aries said.

Aries further commented on women who, despite not being proportioned correctly, choose to wear false lashes.

“And if you’re not proportioned correctly and you are as skinny as Snoop Dogg, It’s just a horrible look. Them eyelashes look like BBLs for your face, you don’t need it!” Aries continued.

Flau’jae Speaks On Lil Wayne Collaboration

In addition to responding to Aries’ statements about false lashes, Flau’jae also spoke with TMZ about the success of her new album, ‘Best of Both Worlds.’

“It’s going crazy, it’s streaming crazy right now. Make sure y’all go get that,” Flau’jae said.

PER TSR, the athlete’s new project includes collaborations with rappers Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa, and 2Rare.

Flau’jae also discussed her collaboration with Lil Wayne. Their newly released single, ‘Came Out A Beast,’ marks their first song together.

“I didn’t really work in the studio with him, but you know he gave me a lot of praise. Told me that my flow was crazy and that I need to keep working hard. So that’s what Imma do,” she explained.
