The summer transfer window slams shut on October 5 and Arsenal are among the clubs still looking to add to their squad.

Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes, Dani Ceballos and Cedric Soares have all arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer so far, but Mikel Arteta is not done yet.

The Arsenal first team manager is still looking for midfield reinforcements, with Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey and Lyon's Houssem Aouar among their chief targets.

With that being said, here are the very latest Arsenal-related transfer rumours.

Rob Holding wanted by West Ham

According to a report in The Sun, West Ham United are keen to sign Rob Holding on loan, as David Moyes desperately tries to bolster his backline.

The Hammers have had bids knocked back for Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski, and also failed in an attempt to sign Shane Duffy on loan from Brighton, after holding talks.

And now, the Irons are ready to target Arsenal defender Holding, with the former Bolton star also wanted by Newcastle on loan.

The report claims West Ham are willing to pay a loan fee of £5million to get the deal done.

Arsenal eye Paulo

Arsenal are interested in Portuguese attacker Marcos Paulo, according to  TeamTalk, but are losing the race to West Ham United.

The 19-year-old plays for Fluminense, and has established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the Brazilian top-flight.

However, the Gunners appear to be behind in the race, with the report claiming West Ham have made an official approach for Paulo.

The teenager, who is Brazilian by birth but has represented Portugal at youth level, is also a target for Leeds United, Watford and Southampton.

Torreira sale close

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is closing in on a move back to Italy, according to a report in Calciomercato.

The Italian publication says that the Gunners and Serie A side Torino have reached an agreement “in the last few hours”.

The Uruguay midfielder is set to leave the Emirates for a €24m fee - the report states - but there are still some other details to be sorted before the move is official.

Torreira has been at Arsenal since signing from Sampdoria in 2018, and has played over 50 games for the Gunners.
