Kalisizo Seed School shines in 2025 USSSA zonal championships, now sets focus on district meet

Kalisizo Seed School’s motto echoes aloud “Fear God, Love wisdom”.

This motto has vividly and proudly lived the test of time, inspiring thousands of youngsters to become responsible and educated citizens of motherland, Uganda.

Kalisizo Seed school not only fronts education but also, other co-curriculum chores as music, dance, drama, games and sports as they build a wholestic student in this new Uganda.

During the recently held 2025 Kalisizo zone Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) football championships, they overwhelmingly championed the cause.

They won all the four games in convincing fashion, scoring 13 goals and conceded none to champion this zone.

They opened up with a 2-0 victory over Matale Church of Uganda school.

Kalisizo Seed then hammered Kabuwoka SS and St Monica by an identical 5-0 scoreline apiece before ending with a slim 1-0 over Kiweewa Secondary School.

Abdul Mulungi led the scoring charts with five goals to his name.

Kennedy Okwi had three, Jackson Kapuru registered two goals and the trio of Rogers Ssekanjako, Herbert Kamya and John Mugisa all had a goal to their name tag apiece.

Head coach Edirisa Walusimbi, a former player lauds the effort of the players, fellow technical staff, the head teacher Juliet Nabakiito and everyone else who has helped the school perform well.

“We performed well in the zonal championships and I would like to thank the effort of the entire team; from the players, fellow coaching assistants, the head teacher, games teacher and everyone whose effort can not be underestimated for the collective teamwork” Walusimbi noted.

Walusimbi has now set his eyes onto the upcoming district championships.

Kalisizo Seed School is pooled in group A of the district championship alongside Kabaale Sanje SS and Master Cares SS.

This will group will be stationed at St John’s playground.

The district championships commence on Thursday, 27^th March 2025 at various venues namely Nabunga, Kabwoko SS,

Five schools will qualify to play at the regionals due in Lyantonde district.
