Update, September 10, 2024 (05:02 AM ET): As part of the latest Google Play Store v42.7 update rolling out now, Google has announced that users will be able to see a new option in the Play Store’s settings page if there is an issue with the Play Protect certification status. Users will be able to refresh the status and try to fix the issue. However, Google did not offer more details on the checks it conducts or the fixes it will suggest.
