Renowned media personality, Jacob Akunguzibwe alias DJ Jacob Omutuuze believes that artists’ failure to attract huge crowds at concerts has been influenced by the infiltration of politics into the music industry.
He states that the music industry is currently on its knees because politics has largely taken a toll on it, causing divisions amongst fans.
He further explained that in the past, artists used to enjoy the limelight freely without being in bed with any political party.
DJ Jacob Omutuuze added that fans would yearn for artists and at times cry upon meeting them since they represented their views without bias.
He also blamed media personalities who turned it a habit to bash entertainers and putting their dirty linen in the public eye which forced fans into distancing themselves from musicians.
